Our Real Obligation as Americans

America is criticized by tyrants around the world. Leaders in Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, and terrorist leaders whom no country will accept say America is an evil imperialist nation.

Is this because of what we do? Our nation has created more wealth for itself than any other in the history of the world. We even share our good fortune. We gave $15 billion to fight AIDS in Africa, we provided disaster relief after the tsunami in Indonesia, and we have spearheaded many international humanitarian missions. We liberated Western Europe from the Nazis, we ousted the Taliban and Saddam Hussein and now Iraq and Afghanistan have free elections. Most importantly, we liberated ourselves from the tyranny of King George of England to all of this possible.

Is it because of what we stand for? The inscription on the Statue of Liberty says, “Give me your tired, our poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” America is a beacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world.

American style freedom and democracy does not work in every culture, and we must respect that. However, hundreds of millions of people have fled other nations to make America their homeland, those who want our style of freedom come here. This shows that the American spirit is strong all around the world.

We now even have a president who bows before foreign kings and apologizes to middle-eastern nations for our past actions. This one man who spoke of “hope and change” in his campaign has only brought change. And that change is extinguishing the hope for the rest of the world. Pravda, a major Russian newspaper, ran an article begging America not to make the same mistakes they had during the days of the Soviet Union. http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/107459-0/  This article speaks of how American capitalism is going out without even a whimper. We were even a beacon of hope to the Soviets. Our nation has stood up to defend others and their freedom, and now we cannot get away from our iPods, celebrity worship, and materialism long enough to defend our own freedom or even notice it is in grave danger.

As Americans we have an obligation to the rest of the world. We must keep the hope of freedom alive. This is a multi-objective effort, all the objectives are equally important.

Use your freedom of speech and remind our elected officials who they work for. The Declaration of Independence says, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Right there in our nation’s founding document it says the elected officials work for the people. Their arrogance has gotten totally out of hand, and they have apparently forgotten how things were intended to run. Contact your representatives, people are doing a good job of this right now, the House web site has been overwhelmed with e-mails to our representatives. http://apnews.myway.com/article/20090813/D9A25N781.html  Keep it up, frequently remind them what you want them to do, we pay our taxes so they can afford a new server to get the messages. Step two of this objective is to vote out every current member of the House and Senate when the time comes. This coordinated peaceful effort will remind all future officials who really runs this country…How did it go, a government of the people, by the people, for the people?

Protect the President. This does not mean do not criticize him, it means if you hear somebody making threats against him or his family report it to the Secret Service. If you see somebody with a sign calling for his death report it and tell that individual, “that isn’t what America stands for and that is not how we are going to do business, we will fire him when the next election rolls around.”  Such horrid acts as an assassination in our country committed by one of our own countrymen would cause instability and cause our beacon of hope for the world to dim.   

Preserve our individual liberty. If freedom in America goes away it is proof that it can be extinguished anywhere on earth. Ronald Regan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.” The time has come for our generation to step of to the challenge and fight to protect our freedom.

Show support for others around the world trying to escape tyranny. Here is where this organization begins. President Obama did not want to “meddle” in the affairs of Iran in their stolen election. How can America be a beacon of freedom without showing support for those seeking freedom? The president is supposed to represent the American people on the world stage, but he has failed to do so in this important case and it is being interpreted as a sign of weakness around the world. We are a strong people and we will step up.

While our president has said nothing in strong support of your cause, know the American people strongly support your quest for freedom.

People here watched on the news and followed on Twitter as your  election was stolen by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, and President Ahmadinejad.

There are people among us who know about the intimidation by the Basij force. We know of the mass arrests and the confessions that were made as a result of torture in Evin Prison and other, more horrible facilities. We know about the unjust executions. You knew the risks and still had the courage vote how you wanted and then take to the streets in protest when the election was stolen. You faced overwhelming odds while unarmed and knowingly risked your lives in the name of freedom. You stood up to oppression knowing what would happen to you.

You showed a spirit that deserves respect and admiration from every American.

There are lessons to be learned from the Iranian people. Learn about their country and the way their government is run. Our spirit to maintain our freedom should be as strong as theirs to gain it.

No Room for Swastikas

Yesterday, a swastika was found painted on the sign in front of Democratic Representative David Scott’s office in Smyrna, GA.

This is totally unacceptable and the culprit will hopefully be caught and punished for this act of vandalism. The perpetrator in this case is both a coward and a moron.

This is the United States of America where we are free to contact our elected representatives and tell them what we think. There is no need to sneak to their office in the middle of the night and vandalize it with a symbol associated with hatred. Perhaps this individual has missed the youtube videos showing people exercising this right on a regular basis.

Bigotry is a true sign of ignorance to begin with. Of course that is in the event this was not an act committed by ACORN or some other such group or individual trying to increase racial tensions. If that is the case the perpetrator should read the article on this site about Improper Political Terms.

There we have it, indisputable proof that the vandal (whoever they are and wherever they came from and regardless of motivation) is a coward and a moron.

Lately, sorry, in recent history is more accurate, the terms Nazism and fascism have been thrown around quite a bit, just this week by U.S. Rep. Brian Baird of Washington.

This political terminology slipup comes mostly from people who are actually more politically aligned with Nazis and other fascists than those they call these names. These elites, who are college educated…not to mention politicians who you would expect to have an understanding of some of the ways governments are run frequently misuse these terms. This is an indicator that they are one of the following; ignorant, ill-informed, or perhaps shifting attention away from what they really are.

Let us start with Nazism first. What did NAZI stand for? It was an acronym for National Socialist Workers Party. Why not NSWP? Because it was a German political party…that was not intended to be condescending, but the public schools are failing and edit out many truths from history books. In the name of accuracy and truth you cannot be too careful.

What is socialism? It is the equal distribution of poverty. Let’s see what Webster’s Dictionary says it is

The Nazis provided birth to death medical care. They also supported excessive environmental regulation. In fact, if Adolph Hitler were alive today he would likely be a member of PETA. It is documented that he was a vegetarian and was moved to the point of tears once when he saw somebody kill a rabbit. 

Which political party seems to be pushing us in the direction of socialism? Both really, but the Democrat party is tacking the bullet-train there.

Who is taking over the US economy section by section? Our currently elected government is. Remember, when you elect a president, you do not just elect a president. You elect an entire government because the president makes all of their own cabinet appointments, and they appoint czars etc. and you the voter have no say so once you put the president in power.

Does nationalized healthcare grant more power to the centralized government? Yes, they will dictate how long you are allowed to live, who is and is not worthy of medical treatment. It will also cause the need to raise taxes and they have the power to do it. Will you be denied coverage if you are injured while participating in an activity not approved by the government such as riding a motorcycle or participating in a contact sport?

Do we have a dictator? He attacks his opposition like a dictator. He has the propaganda machine like a dictator. You know what they say about what it is if it swims like a duck and quacks like a duck. He has yet to make the absolute power grab so only time will tell for sure.

Opposition is being suppressed. The white house says “hit back twice as hard” and a new propaganda czar has been appointed to counter legitimate opposition to socialized healthcare. An Army reservist lost his civilian job due to pressure from the administration to fire him because he challenged Obama’s legitimacy due to the fact he refuses to make his birth certificate public.

When the allegations of racism start to get thrown around keep in mind,

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. The Republican Party was the anti-slavery party. It was also responsible for: the 13th (abolished slavery), 14th (gave former slaves full citizenship rights), the 15th Amendment (gave slaves voting rights), the Civil Rights Act of 1871(protecting southern blacks from the Ku Klux Klan), the Reconstruction Acts, and the 1866, 1875, 1957, 1960, and 1964 Civil Rights Acts.

When you hear leftists throw around the terms Nazi and fascist please consider how ignorant they are. Keep these definitions and facts in mind and help educate the masses so they may be able to think for themselves someday.

The Chinese Public Relations Campaign

Recently China’s People’s Liberation Army (which has yet to liberate the Chinese people) allowed a rare look into their military machine.

Since 2006 China has nearly doubled its military spending as far as they say officially. However it is speculated that the numbers made public greatly down play actual spending. They say that much of the spending has gone to providing better food to their troops. No mention was made that nearly 20% of their fighter aircraft are new. Also without mention was how much of that money was invested in manufacturing weapons systems under license from Russia, which are sold to other countries for profit or loyalty. China trades with North Korea, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Russia, and Vietnam among other nations.

Henry Louis Gates – An Ungrateful Neighbor?

At no point does she mention anything about race until pressed by the 911 operator when he asks, “black, white, or Hispanic” the caller said one looked possibly Hispanic and she did not see the other man.

As he was being escorted away for disorderly conduct Gates said, “This is what happens to a black man in America”. No doctor, this is what happens when you act like a total racist asshole when people are trying to help you. The overwhelming majority of property crimes go unsolved in this country. You were fortunate enough to have a neighbor watching out for you and contact authorities when it appeared somebody might be attempting to burglarize your home. You were then fortunate enough to actually have a police officer available to respond to your residence. Do you have any idea how many Americans would feel more secure in their homes to be in the same situation?

This arrest was not a matter of race. In fact the black police officer on scene said the arresting officer acted reasonably. That statement would suggest race was not an issue. Of course race is now an issue because Doctor Gates is a racist and friends with Barrack Obama (who is friends with another well known bigot, Rev. Jeremiah Wright) and Barry the Fake said with or without looking at the facts that the police, “acted stupidly” because of course all cops are racist and the man was trying to keep the doctor down. Now Obama is sorry for the obsession with his comment, but not sorry for what he said even after several police unions have asked for an apology.
